Production Sample received

Dear Backers,
we have received the production sample and it looks and feels excellent. In general, we are very satisfied with the production quality and all of the components, except one. The launcher needs to be fixed - the springs need to be changed unfortunately. We are waiting for info from the producer on how long the fixing will take.
We have decided to also add an additional printed sheet that will make it easier to set up the game and put it back in the box.
We are super excited for we are almost there. As soon as we know these details from the factory, we will let you know.

Brief update

Dear backers,
Thank you for your patience. Here is a brief update on the current status of Iron Forest:
Charging: We have successfully processed payments for everyone, with minimal issues. Any remaining hiccups will be addressed shortly.
Production: All necessary files were submitted a while ago, and production of the final paper components for the game (boxes, cards, tokens, scenario sheets) is currently underway. We anticipate having pictures soon and will provide another update once they are available.
Emails and DMs: Unfortunately, a flu outbreak affected most of our office, causing delays in responding to emails and direct messages. We are now back on track and will be addressing your messages shortly.
Thank you! Once again, we express our gratitude for your patience and continued support. While we understand the journey is not over, we are in the final stretch. In our next update, we will share the schedule detailing how and when the game will reach you.

Shipping and VAT/tax charges Vol. 3

Dear backers,
This is a quick notice, that we will be charging for shipping and VAT (where applicable) in 2 weeks. We hope that everyone has had a chance to check their shipping fees and details. There will be one more notice just 2 days prior to the charge from Pledge Manager (Backerkit).
P.S. If your address changes after the charge, you will still have a chance to change your delivery details.

View your Shipping costs

Dear friends,
At this point, you must have received a notification to check your Shipping and VAT (if applicable) costs, and some of you have already contacted us with some questions.
We are going through the messages one by one and will get back to everyone as soon as possible.
Just a reminder: if you haven't seen this email notification, please check your inbox (and possibly Spam), and if you have any questions, please contact us by January 15.
We have received some questions/feedback about Shipping costs. Yes, indeed, unfortunately, compared to what was indicated as an estimate on the Iron Forest Kickstarter page, shipping costs for some regions are higher. Also, each add-on on top of the Base pledge, adds to the shipping costs.
Before submitting the shipping costs and sending out an email, we spent a month going back and forth with our fulfillment partners to see if the costs could be lowered. Sadly, they could not, and the consensus is that here has been a pretty big rate increase over the past few years (the price of fuel, raw materials for packaging, labor, and more). We understand that this is not what you anticipated, but neither did we.
Nevertheless, we will double check all the costs and answer all your email, as mentioned above. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Shipping and VAT/tax charges Vol. 2

Dear friends,
We have received feedback from you, our backers, that just charging your cards without longer notice, shortly before Christmas is the best way to proceed with this.
We have taken this into account and we will postpone charging cards until second half of January. Two weeks before the charge, we will send a notice. And also two days before the charge, you will receive a heads up email from Backerkit.
We have consulted with Backerkit, and, as it turns out, the only way we can charge your cards for shipping and VAT is to do a mass charge in the backend, that is, Backerkit does not offer a manual charge confirmation by the backer.
Many of you will probably no longer able to find link to the Pledge Manager, so we will re-send it next week to everyone with the added shipping and VAT prices. This will give you time to check how much is the shipping and VAT for your pledge, and update the address if necessary.
If you have further questions, please write us directly until January 14, either on Kickstarter through DM or [email protected]
Please note:
- VAT will be only charged to EU and UK backers.
- As we do business internationally, we have registered businesses both in USA and EU. Charges for the shipping and VAT will be done via our EU company.
EU Retailers (only)
We will get in touch with each one of you individually to confirm your VAT status. This is to ensure you don't get a double charge for VAT due to EU reverse charge.
PRODUCTION UPDATE.
All files for the paper cardboard components have been sent to the factory and hopefully we will have some pictures for you soon of manufactured boxes as those are being produced first.
